Bullock, author and historian, has been a senior editor and historian for the National Trust for Historic Preservation since 1950 and has written and lectured on early American cookery. She has a B.A. in history from the University of California at Berkeley, 1925, joined the Research Department of Colonial Williamsburg in 1929, worked at the University of Virginia Library (1939-1941), and at the Library of Congress (1941-1950).
